Everything has changed for the better...
“Being on the program has made a huge change from where we were before. Everything has changed for the better, from the schools to the neighborhood. Where we were before, my kids could not even go outside. My kids are happier with their school and the neighborhood, they now talk to me about things they want to do in school and going to college.
In particular, my son’s behavior has improved dramatically in school. At his old school, he was getting in trouble every day. I had to leave work a lot. Now the new school is working with my son and he is much happier.
Even for me, moving into the new home has changed my life. If it wasn’t for the program, I can honestly say that I don’t think I would have made it. It clears my mind to do better, if I wasn’t so sick, I would want to do more like go back to school or change my career.
This program is needed to really show that people on section 8 are not what people think they are. We do want what is best for our families.”
