We are seeking an Intake Assistant to join our small team in Houston, TX.

We are hoping for the right candidate to join our team in 2021.

In this cross-functional role, our Intake Assistant will be the first point of call for prospective families joining our program. They will be an integral part of our team and will work closely with operations, marketing, and case management. They’ll be responsible for communicating with new prospective families over the phone, email, and LiveChat. Our Intake Assistant will collate documents, liaise with properties and clients, provide reports and updates to their manager.

Details of the position are as follows;

  • Receive and respond to online inquiries
  • Collate prospective tenant documentation
  • Determine eligibility of prospective tenants
  • Liaise between tenants, properties and the wider NestQuest team
  • Coordinate leasing packages for incoming families
  • Assist with outreach
  • Part-time (30 hours)

Our ideal candidate will be passionate about nonprofits and making a difference. They will be tactful, compassionate, and confident in communicating with new people. Our ideal candidate will be innovative in their approach to handling tasks and decision-making. This position requires experience with Excel, Google Suite, and LiveChat. (Our dream candidate would have an understanding of the Housing Choice Voucher Program).
